SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT:
Is your child graduating Kindergarten?
If you have a child starting 1st grade this September, Congratulations!!!
Your family is precious to us, and we want to transition kids in a thoughtful way.
Therefore, here is some important information.
- Incoming 1st graders transition into our 1st-6th grade class in September.
We find the summer is fun and hectic. So, we merge younger kids into the older classroom after
they have started 1st grade. Then they seem more at peace and ready for the new experience.
-Moving up is not required, however.
We want to be sensitive to your child and your family. Therefore, if you would like your child to
stay in our younger class for a little longer or even for the year, then we support you.
August 24th and September 7th, Mini-graduation party
We are hosting 2 dates for your convenience. This information gathering is for you and your
child, and will be directly after church. Please place one of these dates on your calendar if
you want your child to move up this year into our older class.
This Mini-graduation party meeting will:
Meet in Classroom 2, the PRE-K CLASS, after Church dismissal.
Have a little snack and sit at a table with your child.
Include important information for you and your child.
End with walking through the new classrooms, so kids can get use to them.
Each child will receive a small gift.
Finally, would you consider assisting our new 1st graders in our 1st-6th class once a month.
We have quite a few new kids moving up. Since this is an age blended
class, we would highly value parents being teacher helpers. This is so much more important
than you even realize. We are teaching kids God's word, and want all our kids to feel valued.
Please contact Angela Pearson, Children's Director, for a caring conversation as to what would be best for you.
If you are unable to attend one of these graduation Sundays, please get a hold of me.
I would like to meet with you and your child before they begin our 1st-6th grade class.
My heart's desire is for them to feel valued and loved from the very beginning.
Your family is precious and important to us here at Cottage Grove Faith Center.
Thank you,
Angela Pearson - Angela@cg4.tv
