Our Foursquare Family

Cottage Grove Faith Center is privileged to be a part of the Foursquare Family of churches.

Foursquare is a family of ~66,000 churches that extend around the world into 140 countries and territories. Foursquare got its start from Sister Aimee McPherson in 1923 when she opened up Angelus Temple. The building held 5,300 people and was immediately filled to capacity at every service. The Temple became the spiritual home for thousands and a base for evangelistic ministry. Since that beginning, there are now ~1,700 Foursquare Churches in the United States.

In the 1970’s a spiritual renewal boomed across the nation. In Lane County, Roy Hicks led a dynamic church called Eugene Faith Center (A Foursquare Church). Under Roy’s leadership many churches were planted around the area in the 70’s and early 80’s, including Creswell Faith Center (where Isaac’s father still pastors) and Cottage Grove Faith Center. Pastored most recently by Dr. Jim Jenkins, Cottage Grove Faith Center has continued to be a thriving church.
